Measured with Critical Flicker Fusion Frequency (CFF). It is related to the patient’s ability to detect motion. CFF is measured by presenting a flickering light to the patient and increasing the speed of the flashes. When the patient reports that the light no longer appears to flicker, this is said to be their High Temporal Resolution Limit. It is measured in hertz where one cycle/second equals one hertz.
